Blind Massage

Blind Massage follows the everyday lives of blind massage therapists, moving between intimacy, desire, and different social worlds. The film questions what it means to “see”: those without sight perceive through touch, sound, smell, and bodily proximity, while those who can see do not necessarily understand more. The production design extends this idea beyond the visual, building spaces through texture, humidity, wear, and traces of daily life—an environment intended to feel so tangible that one could almost “smell” the moxibustion inside the massage rooms. Rather than simply creating something to be seen, the design asks how a cinematic space can be sensed.
