A Song Sung Blue

A Song Sung Blue follows the intimate relationship between two young women during a summer in Harbin. The production design builds a believable everyday world while allowing another layer of meaning to remain beneath its surface. Color, objects, and images quietly absorb the characters’ contrasting temperaments and emotional states. Rather than functioning as visible symbols, these details remain part of ordinary life, revealing their significance gradually as the relationship between the two girls unfolds.
